Farmer's Market Street Style | Chambray and Roses

What's better than spending a day browsing a farmer's market? (I would insert "on a sunny day" but it actually rained!) My friend Kellie (blogger at The Classy Artist) and I spent some time together with our little ones at the Minneapolis Farmer's Market, which is apparently the largest farmer's market in the Twin Cities area, however it was my first time there. When it comes to style, I knew right away I wanted to style a chambray button down top--and make it work with anything else!

With Independence Day coming up, we wanted to create an outfit inspired by the holiday incorporating red, white and blue. (too much?) I styled a more casual and subtle look with this chambray blue on blue look, with a striped tank under to not wash out the look. I really like this combo! I'm normally not a big fan of red roses (my husband buys them all the time too!) but as I browsed the fresh pretty flowers, I was drawn to this bunch. It was a bright red, but also reflected in the light as a deep magenta so I bought it. Plus, I think the pop of red definitely adds color to my outfit. (Okay, we are going all the way with this July 4th inspired look now, aren't we?)
